What to Expect From Counselling

During  counselling you will not be asked to do anything uncomfortable or forced to talk  about anything you do not want to talk about.  Counselling sessions will go at a pace that is comfortable for you and you should never feel pressurised.  You are in control  of the counselling session.

My role is  to explore possible causes for the distress and difficulties you are  experiencing and help you understand how these have developed. I will not give  you advice or make decisions for you.  Counselling can enable you to bring  positive change to the way you think,  feel and behave enabling you to live a  more fulfilling life.  You should leave counselling with a better understanding  of yourself as a resource. Be able to know the sort of things you can do to  support yourself.  Be more confident to tackle and deal with life problems in a way that is right for you and is positive.

If you are thinking about counselling  and are age 18 years or over, feel free to contact me either by telephone, text  or email.  A free  20 minute session is available to help you decide whether or not   you wish to proceed with counselling.  If you decide to enter into counselling,  regular 60 minute  sessions can be arranged at a suitable time for you. The  number of sessions and the interval between each one can also be determined by  you.
